What surfaces can I paint on?
Our versatile glow paints can be used on most any surface including drywall, wood, metals, and much more.

What can I do with the paints?
Let your imagination go wild! You can do practically anything with our glow in the dark paints. Try making a glow mural, glow car, glow in the dark tackle, glow models, or even touch up the hands of a watch or clock Check out some Projects created by some of our customers with our pigments.

Does paint require thinning?
No. If necessary thin up to 5% with water.

How long does the paint take to dry?
Normally 30-60 minutes to touch. To handle 3-4 hrs. Recoats in 2 hours.

How do I clean up?
With soap and water.

Can I find this paint at my local Craft Store?
No. Our glow paints use the next generation glow technology that glows up to 10 times longer than the older type. Most glow paints being sold use the lesser expensive zinc powders.

How can I improve paints performance? First paint a white background. A light or white background will achieve maximum glow effect.

How do I charge the paint?
Glow paint responds best to light sources rich in UV rays such as sunlight, black lamps and halogen lamps. Tungsten lamps (typical household bulbs) take longer to recharge the pigment because their UV output is low. Fluorescent lamps, which are rich in UV, provide faster excitation when Glow-Powder is placed near them.

Sun light - 5 minutes / UV light (Black light) - 5 to 10 minutes / Normal light - 20 to 30 minutes.

Sunlight is the best source for charging the products, but practically any light source will do. Black light is a good provider of UV light (Glow-in-the-dark Bowling with black lights would be excellent).

How many times can I charge it?
You can charge the paints OVER AND OVER indefinitely! Paints have been tested to have a shelf life of a 1 year minimum.

SCHOOL RING

Materials Required:
a ring, glow paint

Procedure:
Here is a sampling of only ONE of the uses I have found for your RED Strontium Sulfide phosphor powder. My class ring from 1968 had a cracked synthetic emerald, which I had not replaced in these many years, so I poured an epoxy mix using your powder into the orifice and this is what came out.

People who have seen it go: 'ooooohhh and aaaawwwwwhhhh' because they have not seen anything like this before. The surface is original with NO POLISHING AGENT of any kind used, since epoxy is relatively 'gummy-hard' and can easily dull with abrasives. This is a good eye catcher.
